Q4 2020 Latin America Android Report: Top 5 Tabletop Board Games

In the fourth quarter of 2020, Latin America's tabletop board game enthusiasts showed their preferences through app downloads and active user trends. Data from Sensor Tower gives us a glimpse into the performance of the top 5 board game applications on the Android platform.

Parchisi STAR Online by Gameberry Labs saw a decrease in downloads, starting the quarter with 207K and ending with 156K. Revenue remained relatively stable with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, peaking at around $22K. Weekly active users also showed a declining trend, from nearly 2.9M to 2.8M.

Moonfrog's Ludo Club - Dice & Board Game experienced a drop in downloads from 201K to 161K. Revenue fluctuated, starting at $15K and ending the quarter at around $13K. The weekly active users count receded from 1.1M to 971K.

Chess - Play and Learn by Chess.com demonstrated a significant upward trend in revenue from $1.6K to $9.4K, alongside an impressive growth in downloads, which soared from 15K to 96K by the end of Q4. The weekly active users showed a consistent increase, starting at 188K and reaching 420K.

Marmalade Game Studio's MONOPOLY saw a spike in revenue in the latter part of the quarter, with a remarkable rise from $457 to $3.2K. Downloads also surged, especially in the last week, jumping from 263 to 3.5K. The weekly active users depicted a mixed trend, peaking at 28K before settling around 9K.

Lastly, Backgammon - Lord of the Board by Beach Bum Ltd. had its revenue grow from $1.3K to $4.5K. Downloads saw a peak in October but eventually decreased to 593 by the end of December. Active users exhibited a slight decrease from approximately 10.7K to 12.5K.
